Urgent Care Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner – Altoona, PAUrgent Care opportunity in Altoona, Pennsylvania, for an experienced PA or NP providing daytime coverage for patients of all ages. The provider will manage typical urgent care presentations, perform minor procedures, and work independently with remote physician support available for escalation when needed. - Monday–Sunday coverage, 8a–8p - 12-hour shifts - Adult and pediatric patients, including children 6 months and older - Approximately 3–4 patients per hour - Typical cases include cold and flu symptoms, rashes, abrasions, sprains, and minor burns - Suturing and wound care - Incision and drainage procedures - Splinting and orthopedic care - X-ray and EKG evaluation - Blood draws and IVs - Higher-acuity patients referred to the local ER - Medical assistants and radiology techs onsite - Typically 1–3 providers staffed per day - Independent practice with remote physician escalation available when needed - No call - EPIC EMRSendoc Locums Covers:- Paid malpractice - Paid travel - Paid lodgingCall/text us at (561) 935-5129 if you're available to pick up shifts or would like more details.
